About Me

Hello! I'm Thomas, a Landscape- and Astrophotographer. I`m travelling the world to capture the beauties our planet has to offer and the miracles of the night sky from the darkest locations available.

I host two self built remote observatories with multiple setups for deepsky astrophotgraphy!

I work as astro guide at the Kiripotib Astrofarm in Namibia. Normally for one newmoonphase between April and September!

Observatories

I host two selfbuilt observatories. Both fully automated and remote. Setups between 85mm and 2600mm focal length for deepsky imaging and up to 13000mm focal length for planetary and moon imaging.

One sits in bortle 4 with just one setup which serves as my test observatory. Testing new hardware and software under not so critical circumstances, but also to get some data if the weather at my main observatory is bad. And my main observatory sits in bortle 2 at 1060m sea level and has 4 setups. Here everything runs automated. Predefined objects got selected by a scheduler, which checks for the objects position, the moonphase and so on.
